Counseling
I encourage all of my clients to combine integrative naturopathic care with psychological counseling. A combination approach with a therapist helps clients progress deeper and quicker than any one treatment by itself. Counseling can help unlock hidden beliefs and unresolved experiences that might be holding you back from experiencing peace and balance in your life. Typically when one person in a family is suffering from an untreated or poorly managed mental illness, the entire family struggles. Counseling provides a safe structure to heal and explore unresolved issues in one's life. It’s a space to heal trauma, learn and implement healthy lifestyle adjustments, and support during the many challenges that occur throughout life. I often refer my clients to trusted therapists within the area to add this important aspect of care to their health plan.
Psychiatry & Conventional Medicine
I enjoy working in collaboration with psychiatrists or prescribing providers to ensure care is comprehensive. Many of my clients are already taking medication when they start care with me. As a Naturopathic Doctor, I am trained in medication management, integration of medications into a natural protocol, how to safely combine medications with botanical medicine or homeopathic therapies, detox, withdrawal, and medication tapering, medication adjusting, or natural substitutions when indicated and appropriate. As a natural medicine expert, I am knowledgeable on how to reduce side-effects, minimize herb-med interactions, and help my clients get even better results for a more stable and joyful life.
